Having A Ball

“My parents thought it would be funny to take a picture of little me next to a big Rocky Mountain Oyster Festival sign with a catchy little saying on it.”

Hammer Time On My Mind

“This is me for first grade picture day. I think the braids definitely made the outfit. Willie Nelson meets MC Hammer?”

The Visitors

“I have been going through my Pop’s old photos when I stumbled upon this gem. This is a picture of my two older sisters. They looked creeped out. I asked Pop ‘Who is that creepy dude in the boxers and ginormous dog?’ he says ‘Beat’s the hell outta me, but there is your Mom in the background, completely oblivious to what it takes to be a mother, the crazy old bat!'”

Recycled Birthday Card

‘We threw a surprise 70th birthday party for my dad. We discovered that his cousin repurposed one of her son’s 30th birthday cards for my dad’s birthday present. She put stickers over the earlier message, but we were suspicious so we took them off only to find WhiteOut over a handwritten message. The first card came with a Starbucks gift card, my dad’s card was empty.”

Batter Up

“This is me, my brother, and my sister on the couch with our Uncle John, who was getting tired of us. None of us seem to care.”

Mohawk Pride

“This is a photo of my family taken in 1987. I have a long mohawk and I am in the back center of this photo. My dad wanted to know how I was going to hide the mohawk in the family photo but my mom said ‘Heck no, he’s gonna wear it up!'”

Bulldog Wedding Jitters

“I was married in March 2016, and we thought it would be cute to have our bulldog, Murdock, as the ring bearer. Unfortunately the night before at rehearsal dinner little Murdock ate some berries that had fallen from the trees at our venue. When it came time for our daughter to walk Murdock down the aisle, he had some tummy troubles. My daughter handled it like a boss. She waited for Murdock to finish and walked on like nothing happened. We had a large wedding so only the guests in the back rows witnessed the event. My dad and I saw the whole thing from the staging area and it was so hard not to laugh while we walked around the mess down the aisle. Fortunately it was all cleaned up before my husband and I made our way back up the aisle after the ceremony.”

“This is my good friend and his friends before their senior prom. (He’s on the far right with his ‘date’). So many awkward things happening in this picture.”
