Christmas

He Sees You. And You. And You Too.

“My son was super attached to me for the first few years of his life. You can see the rage in both his face and pointer finger as I stepped away and left him with jolly ‘Ol St. Nick.”

Lots Of Love

“This Christmas card outtake from 1993 perfectly captured me and my siblings mid-meltdown after a long afternoon posing for the camera. (We love each other nevertheless.)”

The Christmas Chew

Check Please

“Me and my brother visiting Santa (Christmas 1984). Betcha this Santa wished it was 2020 so he could be six feet away from me.”

Santa Support

“Every year my mom would take my brother and I for photos with Santa. I always had a fear of him and this particular year I didn’t want to sit on his lap so the photographer sat me off to the side, my mom held my hand and I refused to look at the camera. Don’t think this went on the Christmas card.”

Llama Drama

“I picked out our annual family ornament after a couple of drinks. Apparently you have to be drunk for these to look like llama legs, because when I unwrapped it to hang it up they definitely did not.”

Sunday Best

“Christmas of ‘69. Mom got a heckuva deal on fabric and yes indeed, we went to church like that.”
