Flower Girl False Start
“Fifteen minutes before the wedding everyone was rushing around getting ready. My sister had just pulled the petals off the roses and placed them into the flower girl bucket for my niece. Not thinking, my sister then hands the bucket over to my 3 year old niece. My niece promptly dumps the bucket over almost as soon as she gets a good grip on it, while my sister looks on in horror, and my Dad (being the father of five spirited daughters) looks on knowing this was the only possible outcome! (My niece dumped it again halfway down the aisle.”

“This was suggested by our photographer to not be included in our final album. ‘Nonsense,’ I said. ‘And dress it up with some sparklies for poops and giggles.’ We love it so much we are thinking of making it into a large portrait complete with a sparkly frame with little butterfly ornaments. It’s sure to *spark* some interesting conversation. And a good deal of awkwardness to boot.”

Scrubs
“My dad is a doctor, so our Halloween costumes were always scrubs. I did grow up to become a doctor, but I wear pants now. My sister also became a doctor, but one who takes breaths and doesn’t stand at attention like she is here. My brother didn’t become a doctor, and he doesn’t (normally) look like he just killed something and got blood all over himself. My dad looks like he’s midst rolling his eyes at our antics… that or seizing.”
