Family Portrait

Stranger Danger

“I don’t remember taking this photo but I do remember that my parents had a few to choose from that year and this was the one they liked the best.”

Family In The Raw

“When your amazing artist Dad says you’re taking a family photo and his photographer friend is going to shoot it, you do it with no question. Oh, and Dad wants it to be unique so it will be in black and white. And we will appear shirtless. He’s the artist, so he knows best, right?

This is the first (and only) time this photo has hit the light of day.

Note: There is this group photo and we each took individual photos. Each print is 18″ x 24″ in size.

Enjoy, cruel world.”

Field of Joy

“This is my husband and four children. We asked the kids to sit down with Dad to get their pictures together, but my daughter didn’t want to be in the picture, so said, “Okay, just stay over there.” I started to take the picture and she got even more upset for being left OUT of the picture. As you can see my husband was also annoyed!”

Knit Pic

“Me, my mom, my stepdad, my brother, and my stepbrothers. My parents had those sweaters made by a family friend. I felt like an idiot wearing it at the time but looking back I think it’s hilarious. And I think my mom still has the sweaters.”

The Exhibitionists

“My brother and his family tried taking a family picture in our field, but the cows kept following them. The cows were doing this in the background of every single photo. Almost as if they wanted to be photographed.”

Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting

“This is a photo of me and my family. For the record, my dad is not Ron Jeremy.”

Red, White, And Groovy

“My Mom has always been a creative sewer. Back in the early 70’s she thought dressing the family alike in the cool, trendy flag cloth would be a great idea. Note the awesome brown polyester pants and cool white belts sported by the guys! And little me on my father’s knee! This picture has been out of the family’s eye for decades and I recently dug it out of somewhere.  I showed it to my Mom and her reaction was “Good lord, what was I thinking?” That got a huge chuckle from me!”
