Polar Opposites

“This picture describes my kids’ opposite personalities precisely. To this day, nothing has changed. She wants everything to be perfect. And he just wants to play.”

Birthday Rager

“My family at my dad’s birthday. My dad is massaging his leg and clearly enjoying it. I am in the middle trying out VR. My brother-in-law is not impressed with the wig makeover my sister gave him. And the cat is a bonus.”

Santa Got Run Over By A Reindeer

“This picture was taken in about 1952. The boy sitting on the lap of ‘Santa’ is my husband’s cousin, Teddy. ‘Santa’ is ‘Uncle Bob’ who apparently didn’t notice that his mask was melting off. My husband thankfully doesn’t remember any of this. No word if little Teddy ever recovered from the trauma.”

Hoop Dreams

“I was in the seventh grade and decided basketball would be a great sport. I was the worst point guard on second string and scored zero baskets in my 7th grade basketball career. I was given the smallest Jersey which happened to be lucky #13 and during this photo my crush was in the stands and I thought I looked good until I saw the picture I submitted and immediately begged my mom for contact lenses and no more perms.”

Flower Power

“I thought it would be fun for me to make matching outfits for my mom and my daughter and I. It was the 60s and these very large flower prints were very popular. I was so proud of my sewing abilities and my fake hair!”
