  1. Lori says:

thier parents never let them sit on Santa’s lap when they were little, so now its payback time!

  2. catherine says:

If they were trying to be ironic, it smacks of effort. Fail, kiddies!

  3. hi kooky says:

Sheesh, Santa. Would it be asking too much for you to get dressed?

  4. Becky says:

Is it me, or does Santa look a little nervous? I don’t think they will be put on the Naughty list!

  5. 설희 says:

    usa good~~!!

  6. Lucas says:

A menina do canto, que tem atrás da cabeça lenços de papel eu achei bonitinha (xD, parece uma amiga minha).

De resto: realmente muito interessante a imagem (imagino o que eles pediriam ao Papai Noel).

  7. JustinSwallows says:

    we’re not douchie vampires! . . . we’re goth!

  8. Heather says:

This is the best Santa picture ever!

  9. asoanyway says:

This may be my favorite! I can’t decide if the kids did this together or if they were made to by some adult. Either way the result would be the same! Love.

  10. Hugh Jorgens says:

Man, Mom sure is lame, dragging us to the mall to get our photo taken with “Santa”.

Yeah, “Merry Christmas or whatever, you got a smoke?”

It’s hard to be hardcore sometimes.

  11. GWSTB says:

I seriously want to know where I can get this chair. I want one so bad.

Also, the guy on the bottom seriously looks like a guy I used to be semi-friends with. Does anyone know if this is in GA?

  12. James says:

    Aw! They’re all so cute!

  13. Cyantificpolymorph says:

at first I laughed, because it was an Ironic picture. then I started to cry, because this cbould very well be an orphanage or a youth rehab house. and this just shows how much heart “Santa” has. this man is truely a Saint.

  14. anniebananie says:

    “Merry Christmas! Hissssssssssssssssssssssssss!”

  15. moby says:

i actually know these kids some of them go to my school. and the one on the left is notttt a girl..

  16. Mallory says:

OMG that was the santa in my mall!!!!

  17. Lola says:

I think these kids are arranged in order of goth-ness. The two on the left are hard-core goths, complete with dyed hair and black eyeliner, but as you get closer to the right they get less and less goth. The farthest one on the right is the one who thinks being goth is as simple as wearing all black and acting serious all the time. You can tell she’s holding back a smile.

  18. birgit says:

That’s really funny. Not your typical sentimental christmas stuff

  19. Sammy says:

This is not what Santa signed up for.

  20. Katie says:

    Nightmare before Christmas?

  21. Was die Scheisse? says:

Ok, so all the kids wear black, but there’s an obvious divide here. You got the smiling pagans on the right, the 80s metal kid on the bottom, and the two emo kids on the right. What’s got me cracking up is that Santa (Satan) doesn’t give a crap, and is smiling wider than a proud papa. 0.o heheheheeheheh

  22. carol says:

I want to know who paid for the picture and who talked them into getting it taken! That’s one seriously nagging mom if she got her goth kid & friends to pose like this. HAHAHAHA!

  23. Joseph says:

    Is Santa crying?

  24. Marmalade says:

    Gosh they’re so goff lol

  25. Pookie says:

    Goths?

    Hardly.
Two of them are almost smiling.

  26. BP says:

The oversized chair and Santa’s happy expression make the whole picture—classic!

  27. 1977 says:

I like ‘goth’ when it’s done right.

    Bauhaus = goth.

    Slipknot = disposable, forgettable garbage.

  28. jnmcnally says:

Poor Santa. It’s not easy raising teens, but imagine having to raise them in the pure white and sterile environment of the North Pole. It’s no wonder they feel the need to rebel from time to time.

  29. Clint says:

Best picture ever? i think so….

  30. beingchris says:

I love this picture! It needs to be made into a card for Hallmark.

  31. No comment says:

Santa’s list includes emo kids too.

I like how the kid with the Slipknot shirt has knots in his (her?)hair….

  32. briantd73 says:

    this was photoshoped.

    • Jaime says:

      Someone had to say it.

I love the kid with pink hair/Slipknot hoodie. He is hugging himself for emotional comfort.

  33. Rocketboy says:

    Slipknot =/= goth…

    Hell, it’s hardly music.

  34. Kara V says:

I LOVE THIS PICTURE, makes me think of my days in high school and college. *sigh*

  35. Crystals Mom says:

    That is an AWESOME chair!

  36. Mike says:

Where can I get a chair like that! WOW!! and the chick on Santa’s right is HOT!!

  37. S13558 says:

Making merry turns to making scary.

  38. Steve says:

Awesome photo! Proof that even Goths have a sense of humor!

+1 to the poster re: the Volturi comment.

  39. Rev says:

“Things have certainly changed on the Island of Misfit Toys since the days of Charlie in the Box and the ostrich-riding cowboy,” Santa said to himself.

  40. nancy says:

Whooo. In my santa pic at 3 (1963), I was scowling, I hated him. The is the single best, or perhaps only good Santa pic I have ever seen. You kids are Great!!

  41. Kelly says:

Am I the only one who thinks the Santa is adorable? Ma Ingalls shirt or not!

  42. Julie says:

One of these things is not like the others…one of these things just doesn’t belong….

The best thing about goth is that all of these kids insist they are expressing themselves and trying to be different….yet they all look the same. They’re just conforming to another standard.

  43. wonkavision says:

apparently someone in this picture is more committed than the others…

  44. LV says:

Wednesday Adams and her friends go to the mall.

  45. Amanda says:

Yes, the kids are scary/hillarious but can we just pause a moment to reflect on what santa is wearing? what is that? my grandma has a blue flower print blouse that looks very similar to what santa has on. And the shorts with suspenders? I think we need an episode of “what not to wear” for jolly ol saint nic.

    • Zaniac says:

That’s the St. Nick version, and I love it. I miss the Santa that used to be in our mall. This might even be him with a bit of a shorter beard, actually. The ones we have around here now are the lame red suit-white fake trim-fake beard-stupid hat kind. Commercialism has ruined the classics.

    • tanyaya says:

i agree – he looks more like an elderly elf than santa!

      • Lassie says:

That flowery blue shirt is the top of Santa’s sleepwear. You haven’t heard of the Santa’s Jammas collection? Available at Herb Phillipson’s, L.L. Bean, and Cabela’s nationwide. Also comes in red plaid flannel, snowflakes, and red and green with reindeer. (can sometimes be found on the floor of Old Navy, size either XS OR XXXLLL, marked down to $8.99….)

note: this is a joke, please don’t go out looking for actual Santa’s Jammas!

    • Nancy says:

Maybe that is because that is SATAN and those kids are NOT dyslexic!

  46. brooke. says:

that is simply fantastic. it’s good to have a sense of humor about yourself, and these kids surely do.

  47. wannabeerbad says:

That is the Santa from Moorestown, NJ. *Knockout*

    • loyal to the santa says:

That is actually the Santa at the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem, PA – I have a pic of my son with him wearing the same outfit. Maybe he had 2 gigs, but he was definetely our Santa until he died 2 years ago.

  48. Marc says:

Dyslexic goths who though they were posing with Satan

  49. hannahbanana says:

As a former goth kid (but still goth in my heart) I absolutely love this one.

  50. remi says:

oh god! the girl sitting on the santa’s left!
    soooo scary
