I have a pic of my youngest during a family portrait.it didnt go as planned I was almost squeezing his body to hold on..than his alone shot he held on to velvet heart box and he didnt look like the same kid.
That’s right, do the Vulcan grip on that kid to make him pass out. Nothing is cuter than sleeping baby pictures. By the way, it’s nice to see an honest Mom picture. The pained “why didn’t I get a border collie instead” look on her face is priceless.
I’m the momma in this picture.. and yes, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one soo much.. my kiddos are 15months apart to each other, this picture totally reflects how my life was during that time..
it’s printed and hanging in my office.. see it everyday.. love it!
This has to be my favorite picture EVER! I’ve got 3 of my own and I know I’ve worn that same expression many times over. Are you taking orders for framed copies?
OMG! THIS is me raising my 3 kids …just a few years back!!! hahahahah!…I used to tell my oldest daughter..SMILE!! NO MATTER what your little brother and sister do!! Hahahhahah! WHat a great memory ,and also ,horrible memory this brought back!!…you know what they say: ” Raising Children is like being slowly pecked to death by a duck.” I believe this photo supports THAT quote! ahhahaaha!
You really need a photo to capture this feeling and remember it?….She looks like she’s in pain….These moments should go the way that labor pains do, they should just be forgotten because the rest of the time with kids is so worth it….
My guess is that the little boy has a very loud volume and his mouth is right by her ear, and the pain expression you see is this mom needing one of the hands to hand her a bottle of tylenol.
I think they do it just for fun. My step-sister & I went to get our HS graduation photos done together many years ago and she started to have a sneezing attack with me hanging back laughing and we realized that the flash was going off!! We were like “we don’t want those!! are you crazy – she’s sneezing!!” They said that were for laughs later… so there you go. The next one might have been a better picture.
Think the curly haired little boy would be happier if there wasn’t a mysterious hand pinching his neck and the baby would be happier if there wasn’t a hand taking his dummy away!
I LOVE this photo. Trying so hard to look like she has it all together and get a nice picture of herself and the three kids; this picture has so much truth in it!
That’s what we did. I have 4 kids and my 5 yr old was standin behind us covering her eyes my 3 yr old was sloutching and lookin away my 2 yr old was trying to crawl away and my 9 month old was crying. Lol so we took it and got one 8 x 10 of that and then got an 8×10 of a pic that came out darn near pervect except my 2 yr old wasn’t smiling and put em next to each other and I made frames for em and the fram for the good pic says on a good day and the other pic says everyday lol and we have done it like that every yr we have a pic of em all hectic gettin situated and then a pic of em doin what they should I love it. Shows true colors of my kids and I’m not afraid to admite I don’t have a picture perfect family.
Are you kidding? This is a great shot, tells a story more interesting than the fake smile ones do. It’s real life. Probably not right for over the fireplace but fun nonetheless.
Oh, honey, this is the best kind of shot!!! Often you get NO usable pics from one of these places, and buying the “best of the worst” is the way to go!!!
At least you can all have a great laugh in a few years!!

Callgon Take Me Away !! ( You’ll Get This If You Were Alive In The 70′s)
what made the photographer go click??
Too many kids, not enough hands. Where is her hubby? Looks like she could really use his help.

The little girl on the upper right hand side looks exactly like I did at that age! Kinda freaky!
“We can just airbrush that out”
Your in good hands with Alstate.
I know this lady too! Too funny!!! I love it!
Really where is she from? The little girl looks so much like me!
Those extra hands are its children it’s roughy for them to find work now a days
the middle-american angelina jolie.
I personally know this lady and this just cracks me up! Love it!
Me too and I love that we’ve been laughing about this picture for years! I LOVE IT!

Kudos to you!!!
(Also a mama to two, just out of the stage shown in your photo!)
This has to be my favorite picture EVER! I’ve got 3 of my own and I know I’ve worn that same expression many times over. Are you taking orders for framed copies?
Yay!! I am raising 3 kids also. I can soooo relate, and embrace this photo!
This is painful to look at.
This is worth a billion words about the realities of motherhood. One of my favorites on this site. Well done!
“Why do you people keep putting kids on me? I just want to get my picture taken! Whose kids are these, anyways?”

That is just awesome. I love it.
it takes the many arms of Vishnu to raise three kids.
This picture’s obviously an out-take, a very nice one at that!
This photo should be put on cards and posters to remind everyone that Mothers Day is not just a Hallmark holiday.
Amen!
Roger that!
This picture tells the story of my own life, minus the extra hands.
Oh yeah, these are how my family photos usually work out! I’m so happy to see this, you have no idea! Love it!
I’d like to know if the final photo ended up any better than this one. Once a 2 year old starts crying—it’s all over………
This is a keeper. Great shot
I wish I had that many assistants when I was a portrait photographer!
This is the pictorial definition of motherhood…
hahahahaha! YOU SAID IT!!
I actually REALLY love this picture, multiple child mamas can definitely relate!! I would sooo hang this up next to the “good” one!
Yep. This picture would definitely be in the scrapbook!! Real life, yk?
Calgon, take me away!!!!
You stole my line ….
I bet most of the posters are too young to get the reference
ha-ha that was my exact thought too!!
Serenity now!!!!!
Appreciate the thought but…dumbest Seinfeld ever.
What do you mean ‘help?’ We ARE helping…
We’re helping hands…(just couldn’t leave it alone, sorry)
I can just feel the stress going on in this picture!!
This is what happens when the photography studio is set up right next to the toy aisles.
This should be an ad for birth control
Or the picture you could hand to those nosy relatives who ask you why you don’t have kids by now…
You really need a photo to capture this feeling and remember it?….She looks like she’s in pain….These moments should go the way that labor pains do, they should just be forgotten because the rest of the time with kids is so worth it….
I don’t think she looks like she’s in pain. I think she looks like she’s just about to scream: “Oh, for CHRIST’S sweet sake! Pack it in!!”
My guess is that the little boy has a very loud volume and his mouth is right by her ear, and the pain expression you see is this mom needing one of the hands to hand her a bottle of tylenol.

You would NEED to Photoshop this one!!
I love this picture on so many levels I can’t even begin to state them all.
Me too!
I LOVE this photo. Trying so hard to look like she has it all together and get a nice picture of herself and the three kids; this picture has so much truth in it!
SO been there…
That poor woman looks exactly like how I feel a lot of the time!
I wanna know what photographer in their right mind would even snap this photo!
A brilliant one. One that knows it will be treasured in 18ish years.
my guess is he was just taking a practice shot… often I take test shots to check my camera settings…
This looks to be pre digital and thus it’s unlikely a test shot would be worthwhile uless it was Polaroid.
for the little girl in the upper right ….she is picture perfect! now photoshop!
One with a great sense of humor. It is a true glimpse into their life, and would go well next to the one that worked.

A great one! I have a similar shot with my 1 year old trying to run away and I love it!
Sometimes, as a Mom, you just have to know when to say Enough! and just walk out!
You gotta know when to give up! LOL
Wow, how’d they get a photo of my life on here???
This resembles my life!
HA HA
