“I found this picture recently when I was cleaning out some old photo boxes. I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade, which would make it the early 1980s. My parents, obviously having no idea what roach clips were used for, not only let me buy it, but let me go to school with it pinned to my collar on picture day.”

The Engagement Pics
This was 2004 – and these were my senior pictures. The two boys are my best friends since we were 3 and I thought it would be a great way to memorialize our friendship. Instead they all looked like really bad polyamourous engagement pictures, complete with us holding hands and skipping off into the sunset. Needless to say, my parents didn’t purchase those. We still refer to these as “The Engagement Pics”.

I Swear It’s Patrick From Sponge Bob
“Poor kid put his shirt for picture day in the wash… but he got up to late and didn’t have time to dry it. So he had to pick a different shirt… I swear that is just Patrick’s head from Sponge Bob. Oh, dear.”
