A Calendar 2022

Sweat

“This is a photo of my grandparents, aunt and uncle around 1970. Nana said it was about 100 degrees in the studio, but they weren’t about to reschedule.”

Leather Weather

“I went to a harvest festival with some friends from school and took a picture with the giant pumpkin I came home with. Little did I know that the scarecrow behind me looked like it was wearing a mask made of human skin.”

Trunk Show

“Just me and my dad taking a break from a road trip in the 1970s. Apparently my parents found it convenient to just pop the trunk and prop me in a box while they took a break from driving. I had always heard the story and now I finally have proof.”

Denim Days

“Every year my mother wanted a nice family photo and this time around she chose our outfits. Matching jean dresses for my sister and I, jean dress for her (with that awesome big hair that she permed) and a jean shirt for my dad. (Plus I don’t know where we are all looking…but it wasn’t at the camera.) This is in honor of my mother who passed in 2015 from Melanoma.”

Seeing Double

“This my younger brother and I, taken around 1970, when the Partridge Family was a big hit. The vests were crushed velvet and our hair was plastered with Dippity-do so it would stay in place.”

Daddy’s Little Helper

“Dad decided to let me ride the lawnmower while cleaning the yard. Yes, that is a 1970’s era car seat attached to the lawnmower. Safety first!”

Skater Girl

“This was the gem of my high school senior picture portfolio. At the time, the effect was cutting edge. Now I like to tell my kids that I had to skate really fast to look that dumb.”

Dalmatian Disturbia

“This is one of my baby pictures. That’s me being held by a person in a Dalmatian costume who is also holding an actual Dalmatian. I have begged my parents for a backstory and all my mom will say is, “I don’t know what you are talking about! This photo is brilliant! I’m brilliant!”

A Bungle In The Jungle

“My husband and his sister took my son to the park. He had no idea this was going on while his sister was taking a picture to send to me. My son was fine, by the way.”

Cabbages Of Our Lives

“This was my Senior Picture and my mom thought it would be a great idea to pose with some of my Cabbage Patch collection of dolls. For some reason, I decided to go with the SULTRY look. The rest is history as you can see!!!”
