Comfort Pack
“It was a “Sears photo” type situation from back around 1969-1970, my mother (all of 19) said they were trying to get me to sit still and stop squawking (which has gotten worse as I’ve gotten older). She cannot recall exactly, but she believes that my father (20) who smoked (natch), presumably handed them to me as a distraction (or maybe I just crawled over and grabbed them to smoke one, honestly, I wouldn’t put it past me, even as a toddler) so the photographer could snap the picture.”

Big Red
“My mom sewed clothes for the family when I was growing up. Since our family sang together in churches in Indiana and Michigan in the 70’s, she had the grand idea of making red polyester suits with a hint of orange Polka dots (along with the awesomely huge bow ties). Gotta love ya, Mom! And BTW, I’m the little boy next to dad. Today, my family of 7 children all play in our own family music group, but without the polyester.”

Ghosting
“I’m the boy in the picture with my family. Apparently, the ghostbusters craze got the best of my mom and she made us walk through the mall in those stupid shirts to get our picture taken. From the look on my sister’s face, I don’t think she was too thrilled with the whole idea either.”

Wreath Hair
“This photo was in 2016 of my husband and I with our son for his homecoming dance. I posted this on my social media and so many people were trying to figure out what I did to my hair and I had no idea why. I finally realized I had ‘wreath hair.'”
